Pepperidge Farm, a subsidiary of Campbell Soup Company, has introduced its sister company Arnott's Tim Tam cookies in the US

Pepperidge Farm is offering Tim Tam cookies in two varieties: Chocolate Creme and Caramel. Tim Tam cookies will be available from November 2008 through March 2009 at Target stores across the US.

Michael Simon, senior vice president and general manager of snacks division at Pepperidge Farm, said: "In keeping with the tradition of our founder, Margaret Rudkin, Pepperidge Farm is thrilled to introduce Tim Tam to American consumers. Margaret searched the globe to bring back delectable cookies and crackers to the US that are now beloved icons to Americans, much like Tim Tam biscuits are to Australians. We're certain Americans will soon understand why this scrumptious cookie is all the rage in Australia."

Australian Hugh Jackman managed to win Oprah Winfrey and the audience over with packets of Tim Tams on Mondays Oprah Show, while promoting Baz Luhrmann's soon-to-be released epic, Australia.

"You think it's hard getting through customs with nail scissors? Try getting through with over 300 packages of Tim Tams," Jackman said.

It was enough for Winfrey to start speaking another language.

"You call cookies bikkies there? We're gonna start calling them bikkies too."
