In August of 2008, 35 men from across America will leave their families, their jobs and their country to live out a dream in Victoria, Australia.  These 35 individuals will join together to form the United States National Australian Football team—the American Revolution. No lucrative contracts, no endorsement deals, no fame, not even funding for the trip to Australia. They will each pay their own way to play one of the most physically taxing games in the world purely for a love of competition, a love of the game and for the opportunity to represent their country. Surfing Monkey Productions, formed by two American primetime television producers, will follow their journey in the documentary entitled, "Australian Football, American Revolution."

The journey began months, even years ago.  Each player has been saving money, playing with his home club and training to get in to the best shape of his life with the hopes of being selected to make the trip to Melbourne.  As many as 80 players had a chance to make the team.  The top 35 have been chosen.  Years of hard work, dogged determination, preparation and anticipation will culminate in the 2008 International Cup in Victoria. For the lucky ones that made the cut, the experience of a lifetime begins when they touch down on Australian soil August 24th.

The documentary will follow the ups and downs of the entire Revolution season.  The story begins with tryouts in Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Ft. Lauderdale, and ends with the team’s end-of-trip celebration after playing five matches over 11 days in Melbourne and Warrnambool.
