The Kansas City Power launches its season this Saturday, May 31, with the inaugural 'Kirkie' Cup Lightning Carnival. Named in honor of club stalwart Richard Kirkpatrick, the carnival will see each of the Barbecue City's 3 metro teams in action. The fired up Lions, Demons and Tigers will be out for pre-season glory, and the chance to impress the Power coaching and selection panels. With 6 weeks of training and a practice game already under their belts, the clubs 7 rookies are beginning to find their feet, and look set to stake their claims for regular spots in the Power line-up. |
