Grilla is coming back to Nationals!

Rich Mann, National Tournament Director for the 2007 Nationals, is pleased to announce that Rodney 'Grilla' Grljusich will be returning to the US to amuse, delight and enthrall us with his play by play announcing and commentary.

The United States Australian Football League' s premier tournament returns to the heartland of the rapidly growing multi faceted organization's origins this year - Louisville, Kentucky - to culminate a season of congratulations and celebrations in a star spangled 10th anniversary.

The 2007 Nationals will feature the nations top ranked men's and women's teams in divisional match and final play across the 13th and 14th of October to prove just who 'are The Champions my friends'.

The annual weekend will include major sponsors, high profile AFL representation, special guests, popular USAFL merchandise, Australian food and beverage, USFOOTY Kids clinics, entertainment and the colorful commentary of Rod 'Grilla' Grljusich and an even fiercer women's competition.

The Grilla pioneered play by play arena announcing for the Nationals back in 2003, Kansas City. This year marks the sports caster's 5th consecutive presentation with an evolving style specific to the US sports market. Coverage has included the likes of Andrew Bogat - 2005 NBA No 1 draft selection - Kevin Sheedy, Robert Dipierdeminico and Peter Schwab - iconic Australian Rules Football figures. The full sound production has been professionally assisted by Veteran Football's Graham Mabbs and Atlanta Kookaburra's Susan Graham. As a performer the Grilla has also appeared as the 'Urban Cowboy' together with Nashville's highly regarded and well respected musicians Tom Mason and Prue Clearwater.

Grljusich is also an ambassador for the USAFL - as named recently on the League's initial program of high profile individuals who promote the interests of the organization and growth of Australian Rules across America - and has helped initialize player exchange between the Milwaukee Bombers and West Perth Falcons (Triple A equivalent ) whilst working in with Tony Fairhead of the Australian Advisory Committee on a student abroad/cultural exchange programs involving the University of Notre Dame Fremantle, the campuses of St Johns and St Benedicts in Minnesota, Portland in Oregon, the resources of the South Fremantle and CBC Football Clubs, and the Clontarf Football Academy.
