US Armed Forces Footy News

FT Bragg is coming on board when the 2 Heavy Brigade Combat Team redeploys from Iraq this fall.  PFC Chase Brennen has contacted Julie Upton and Paynee to get the ball rolling for the ‘Airborne Soldiers’ of FT Bragg.  Julie was gracious enough to send several footys while Paynee sent some DVDs to Brennen in Iraq.  God Speed Brennen and Airborne All the Way.

Ft Gordon Soldiers, under the charge of SSG Timothy ‘Bones’ Wells are currently playing in Afghanistan against their Aussie counterparts in the Aus Defence Forces.  Bones says that interest is high among the 3500 3RD ID Soldiers and that the chain of command likes to game and will sponsor the ‘Rock of the Marne’ team at Gordon upon the 3rd ID 2 Heavy Brigade Combat Teams return from Afghanistan.  Jeremiah Cain is sending the old white and green jumpers to Bones as a way to get the team going.  Way to go Gamblers.

Paynee is in talks with the Australian Embassy in DC to get them on board in sponsoring USFOOTY kids programs at major US military bases.  The program will be supervised by Denis Ryan and include around 40 Aus Officers and Non-Commissioned Officers stationed throughout the US to help run the programs.  This effort has the potential to reach 75,000 children stationed at US bases.
