Nashville Kangaroos launch new website

The Nashville Kangaroos are proud to announce the launch of our new website! Come take a look at www.nashvillekangaroos.org, cruise through the site and tell us what you think. We welcome your responses and please provide us with any feedback so that we can continue to enhance and improve our site. As we are trying to quickly spread the word of our new site, please forward to your friends and family.

The website is not the only thing that has been changing with the Roos recently. At the Annual General Meeting last November, the membership elected the 2007 Club officers. At the first meeting of the new board, Jeff Persson was elected President and Grant White was elected as Secretary/Treasurer. Jeff has been a member of the Roos since 2000 and becomes the fourth club president, succeeding Grant White, Shane Clohesy, and founder Peter Beare. Grant has stepped aside as President, having served for the past three years (which seems to be the normal tenure for that position), but just like his predecessor Shane, he can't seem to completely step away from the club (both are still very active members)! Rounding out the Board positions are former President Shane Clohesy, founding member and music director Ric Butler, netball representative Nicole Bryce, director of publicity Evan Ling, and director of merchandise Travis Quigley. Here are some of the new features to explore.

Simplified and Accessible Menus. Our menus are now accessible by moving your cursor over the menu line and the page options display automatically, providing for faster navigation.
Complete 2007 Schedule. It sounds simple, but creating a schedule of all events is more work than you would think. We now have a comprehensive calendar for all events that can be sorted by event type. We also have a feature to automatically show all upcoming events on the left-hand side of the screen.
Football Menu. We have pulled over the key components from our old site (events schedule, training, membership) and added several new features (intro to the game, footy in the USA, get in on the game) that we hope you find useful.
Netball Menu. In 2005 the Nashville Kangaroos excitedly welcomed the netball team. Now, we are proud to announce they have their own set of pages on our site. Be sure to check out the wikipedia reference.
Player Rosters. We now have all of our players in a roster format, including our netball team! In the future we plan to expand the content to include more detail on each player, and ideally our former players.
Membership Options. We have updated our membership options at the Club level and for each of our teams. We still have the convenience of sending membership updates (as well as joining as a new member) and we are just about to add the functionality of paying dues online (with PayPal you will have the option of paying by bank draft, credit card, or PayPal dollars!) No more having to mail us a check! And you may make a tax deductible donation at any time using the new Make a Donation button (also via PayPal)
