TASMANIA Kicks Off Partnership with USAFL
The USAFL is delighted to announce a sponsorship agreement has been reached with the Tasmanian Government to become the official partner of the USAFL for the 2022 season and our 25th year anniversary.
The partnership is a natural fit as, like the USAFL’s approach to football, Tasmania is taking a grassroots approach to raising Tasmania’s profile and boosting export sales.
As a proud AFL state, Tasmania saw football as a natural opportunity to reach new consumers and markets in the US. The relationship marks the first time the USAFL has partnered with any Australian state or territory.
“The USAFL has steadily grown over the past 25 years. As we celebrate our 25th Anniversary we are very excited to partner with Tasmania. Tasmania's support will enable us to continue to strengthen our business and government relationships to further the development of Australian Football in the US for the next 25 years and beyond," said USAFL Executive Director, Doren James.
Tasmanian Premier, Jeremy Rockliff said that this partnership will introduce many more Americans to what Tasmania has to offer, as a destination and producer of extraordinary products.
“Partnering with the USAFL in its 25th anniversary provides unique opportunities for USAFL members and Tasmania. As an Australian state with a long and proud Australian rules football history, we value the opportunity to build our relationship with the league and its players and supporters right across the USA,” said Premier Rockliff.
