USAFL Seeks New Treasurer

The USAFL are seeking applications for the Executive Board position of Treasurer beginning December 2013. Keith Nelson, the current Treasurer, has advised the board he will be stepping down from the position. Keith has currently held the position since June 2012.

The USAFL Executive Board would like to extend a big thank-you to Keith for his services and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.

Position Description: Treasurer

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Receive and issue receipts for all dues, fees and other monies or property paid or donated to the USAFL;
• Keep a true and correct account of all receipts and disbursements and publish such reports together with the figures from the previous fiscal year on the balance sheet in the annual report;
• Make such reports and statements to the president and the board as required;
• Submit a financial report to the board of directors and delegates at the annual retreat;
• Deposit all monies received by the USAFL to the credit of the USAFL;
• Responsible for working with the USAFL’s outside tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate filing of the Form 990 and any other reporting requirements required by the IRS.

While accounting qualifications are not required, they and/or evidence of business and non-profit acumen are desired.
