US Marines Get an Introduction to Footy

Members of the US Marine Rotational Force Darwin (MRF-D) were recently introduced to the great game of footy by the Northern Territory Thunder at a training session in Darwin in preparation for a game on June 8.

There are currently some 200+ US Marines and sailors from Hawaii-based Lima Company, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment on a six month rotational deployment to Australia. MRF-D is billeted at the Australian Army's Robertson Barracks outside of Darwin.
