Although Luke was born in Australia, he has lived in the U.S. since age 11. He did not play footy while growing up in Australia. This year is the first time he has begun playing footy more than casually. He is 38 now, and jokes that he doesn't even sound Australian anymore. His accent is definitely American or at least heavily americanized.
