2017 Minnesota Freeze Exemption Request for Tatsuro Tanioka

Tats is born in Japan and now living in the United States. Tats has never played footy until a year ago when he discovered the sport with Minnesota Freeze. It is not in the spirit of the rules for him to lose playing time because he counts as "Australian" within the USAFL rules. He was not born in Australia, lived in Australia, or have played footy outside of the USAFL. It would be a shame for the USAFL to limit the development of players from these countries because the 50/50 is overinclusive. Because it would not be in the spirit of the rule to exclude these players, we ask that he be declared as national for the 50/50 rule.
