2017 USAFL Australia Day Party Listing

Australia Day commemorates the landing of the the first fleet of British ships in Port Jackson Harbour, Sydney, in 1788.  Traditionally celebrated with cricket, barbeques, cold beverages, and the like, the fesitivities will not be limited just to Australia.

Below is a listing of USAFL clubs who will be holding Australia Day events in the week surrounding Australia Day proper (January 26th).  If you don't see your club listed here, check out our team page.

Lady Eagles Australian Rules Football Clinic

The Baltimore Washington Lady Eagles are hosting a Women's Footy Clinic on May 10 in Patterson Park! Come join us to learn to play Australian Rules Football, get some fitness in, and meet new people.

All athletic backgrounds are welcome--absolutely no experience is necessary. 

What to expect:
Introduction to the skills, simple drills, and a real time scrimmage. You'll want to wear athletic clothing and it is recommended to have cleats and a mouthguard. We'll provide water.

Player Check-In Open

All players who are participating in the National Tournament MUST check-in to the player registration system no later than 30 minutes prior to their first match.

Player registration will be open from 6pm-11pm on Friday evening at the host hotel and from 8am at the fields on the morning of the tournament commencement.

Coaching Clinic

The Subiaco coaching staff will be conducting an AFL Level 1 coaching clinic on Friday afternoon at the Wyndham Hotel.  All coaches and players are welcome to attend the free clinic. They also have a number of other clinics planned for Thursday and Friday prior to Nationals with local Austin elementary schools and also wish to spend time with the University of Texas' football team at their facilities.
