BEN GRAHAM KICKS WELL IN SUPERBOWL

Ben Graham represented Australia honorably in todays Superbowl, playing for the Arizona Cardinals against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Tampa, Florida. In a game that went right down to the wire, Graham, the punter, played an unexpected pivotal role late in the last quarter. Graham had 5 punts at an average of 36 yards, with a long kick of 45 and more importantly, 3 out of his five kicks ended within the Pittsburgh Steelers own 20 yard line.

With 3 mins and 26 seconds  left in the biggest single sporting event in the world, Ben Graham lined up to receive the ball and punt toward Pittsburgh’s end zone. Executing a perfect Aussie Rules Drop Kick, he landed the ball on the Pittsburgh one yard line. Pittsburgh struggled to get the ball out of their own end zone and this series ended in a safety and two points for the Arizona Cardinals.

Though he didn’t end up on the winning team, Ben performed admirably as the first ever Australian in a Superbowl and all of the usfooty family wish him the best for his NFL future and we all hope that he gets another chance at a Superbowl ring.
