KC Demons hang on in a thriller

The KC Lions have suffered their second heartbreaking loss in the space of 8 days.  Narrowly beaten by the Tigers last week, this time the cause of the misery was the KC Demons, who held on to beat a fast-finishing Lions outfit by a mere 4 points.

The sun drenched fans were treated to an entertaining game of footy which had all the ingredients of a classic metro encounter.  Crunching tackles, courageous, mid-air collisions and many contenders for goal of the day proved that our great game is alive and well in Kansas City

Starring for the Demons for was US Team of the Decade member, Mark Scott, whose goal kicking ability kept the statistician busy all day.  With good support from Richardson and Chung, the Demons had experience all over the ground.  For the Pride, Unger was solid all day in a lion-hearted effort in ruck, while Pocket-Rocket Webb continues to impress with his work in the middle.  But perhaps the most pleasing aspect for the Lions was the performance of first-gamer Edwin, whose strength and dash from the back line will have the KC fans confident that a call-up to the Power isn't too far away.

Final Scores:

KC Demons: 11 - 6 - 72

KC Lions: 10 - 8 - 68

KC Power Club Song Released!

Traveling all across the country
On a footy trail, we got talent a plenty
Meet a strange opponent, doesn’t make us nervous
We just take them in and have them for breakfast
And we sing,

We come from Kansas City
Where women glow and men plunder
Cant you hear, cant you hear the thunder?
We’re kickin’ goals, you better take cover.

Playin’ footy from here to Brussels
We’re all six foot four and full of muscle
And if you don’t speak our language?
We’ll just smile and gave you a barbeque sandwich
And we sing,

We come from Kansas City
Where women glow and men plunder
Cant you hear, cant you hear the thunder?
We’re kickin’ goals, you better take cover.

GO POWER
