Teams flew in from Denver and Atlanta to play the AZ Lady Hawks in the Duel in the Desert tournament. The object of Australian rules football is to move the ball up-field by kicking, handballing, and running. Points are scored when the ball is put through the area between four goal posts. Six points are awarded when the ball passes through the middle goal posts. One point is given if the ball passes through the other goal posts. It is a contact sport where players can tackle using their hands and use their bodies obstruct members of the other team.
