Trevor Lovitt Named Revolution Coach

The USAFL Board is happy to announce the appointment of Trevor Lovitt to the position of Head Coach of the U.S. Revolution.  Trevor was selected from an outstanding pool of candidates.  The Board would like to thank all candidates who applied and participated in the selection process, as well as the selection committee who spent numerous hours interviewing the prospective candidates.

Trevor hails from Melbourne, Australia.  He now resides in Pittsburgh with his wife Jennifer   where he is the Sales Manager of American Contractors Equipment Company.  Trevor brings a strong coaching background to the position.  From 1998-2001 he was an Assistant Coach with the Noble Park Football Club which won the premiership twice, and twice finishing runner-up.  From 2002-2003 Trevor served as the Head Coach of Mulgrave Football Club’s senior team which finished 3rd in 2002 and 2nd in 2003.  From 2003-2005 he was an assistant with Frankston Football Club in the V.F.L.  He also served as a recruiting officer for Port Adelaide from 2004-2005.  Trevor is very excited about his appointment.  He looks forward to developing football in the U.S. and working toward the 2008 International Cup Premiership.

Potential Revolution Players should keep an eye out this week for important dates in 2007.  Head coaches should also be thinking about players they would like to nominate for the US Revolution.
