Board Member Changes

The USAFL Executive Board is sad to have to accept the resignation of Randall Upton as the Member-At-Large. The Member-At-Large  position is the seventh member of the Executive Board and the role is designed to be the conscience of the Board as this position does  not reflect a specific geographic position nor a portfolio role. In  this role Randall was a strong and significant member of the team. Randall brought with him many years of sporting organization
involvement and understood the challenges facing embryonic sporting  organizations such as ours. Randall has resigned due to work commitments.

The Board is happy that we have been able to quickly replace a  strong presence like Randall so quickly. Rich Mann, the second  President of the USAFL, is returning to America and has agreed to  take up the position of Member-At-Large. Rich was involved in the  league from the very beginning and brings both extensive knowledge of the league and football in general. Rich has already begun his  responsibilities and will stand for open election at the upcoming  Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Las Vegas.

We expect ongoing changes with the make-up of the Executive Board  due to the nature of a volunteer organization. The Board has always  taken very seriously it responsibility of succession planning. This  year we have seen changes in both the Secretary and Member-At-Large  positions and have been able to continue to attract strong talent to  the Board.
