The USAFL contracts an event organizer annually who is responsible for organizing all aspects of the USAFL National Tournament. Interested applicants may now apply. Applications will be accepted up until Thursday, December 31.
The USAFL would like to thank Rich Mann for his 11 years of service to the league in organizing the National tournament. No doubt it is a great event because of his vision and hard work. While we will miss his involvement, we certainly understand the desire to focus on family and his decision for stepping down.
Position Outline
The event organizer is responsible for organizing all aspects of the tournament, including but not limited to:
- developing and implement a plan including a budget and schedule;
- identifying and secure venues including fields, hotels, etc. and establish relationships with local organizations;
- sourcing all equipment, vendors and other services as required;
- obtaining relevant insurance certificates, permits and licenses;
- managing human resources including emergency services, staff and volunteers;
- establishing marketing and media avenues for local and national publicity;
- seeking tournament sponsorship; and
- communicating with relevant stakeholders, including the USAFL Board at least on a monthly basis.
