Claremont have taken left-field recruiting to another level by adding a former AFL boundary umpire, a former professional tennis player and a former US college footballer to their pre-season training squad.

2009 49th Parallel Cup

A strong squad of players, including several Revolution veterans and many young and eager first timers, made the trip to Mason, Ohio, to take on the Canadian Northwind in the 49th Parallel Cup. This was the first game for the Revolution squad since the 2008 International Cup and it was exciting to watch the team gel together to defeat the Northwind by 50 points in the main game on August 1. It was equally as impressive watching the team back up this effort to again win the next day.
