“April hath put a spirit of youth in everything.” – William Shakespeare

20 years is a long time.  It’s a generation.  A time of growth, and a time of change, a time of maturity.

20 years ago, this country had a handful of teams playing our great game.  Who would have thought that both the game and the league would have blossomed the way it did, just like the blooms of April?

The 2017 Arctic Cup (or How We Became Vikings in 72 Hours)

"Who thought footy would bring me to f***ing Iceland?" says a chilly Ross Levesque, bitterly surveying his drenched apparel against a backdrop of rugged rocky terrain and steep dark hills rising in the distance.

But it wasn't strictly footy that brought him to Iceland - rather, his brother Jay, whom Ross introduced to footy in 2003 and who is now a USA Revolution veteran, was the larger factor for Ross' short trip. The two faced off in the Arctic Cup, with Ross playing for a combination Swedish/Icelandic team and Jay for the Baltimore Washington Eagles.

Eagles, Lady Eagles Open Season in Iceland

As arctic winds race across the Icelandic tundra, so too will seven international footy teams rage upon the turf seeking glory, adventure, and most importantly – the after-party.

Atlanta hosts Nashville to Open 2016 Season

After a long, cold winter in the South, two of the USAFL's longest tenured clubs are preparing to shake off the chill in style.

The Atlanta Kookaburras and Nashville Kangaroos will renew their "Fairwell to Winter" series in this weekend. marking the first action of the 2016 USAFL season.  The two teams opened the calendar last year at E.S. Rose Park in Nashville.

This year's match will take place at Candler Park in Atlanta, in the "Little 5 Points" section of the Peachtree City.  First bounce is 2:30pm this Saturday, March 5th.

Dragons Slay Bombers in SoCal Derby

SoCal rivals, the LA Dragons and OC Bombers went to battle again as both clubs continue to prepare for their 2015 USAFL Nationals campaign.

L.A. Dragons Open Training Camp

The Los Angeles Dragons held their first ever summer training camp this past weekend in Los Olivos, CA (June 6-7th).

The camp was greatly attended (30 guys) & was a chance for the new players to get to know more about the game, their teammates and learn new skills and strategy. They believe it is a strong way to set up the rest of the season going into the Western Regional tournament on June 27th in Sacramento, and will be something that we will look to build upon in 2016.
