Jess Whisney

Jess Whisney hails from Minnesota and started playing in 2011. She had learned about Australian Football during a trip to Australia but never dreamed she would one day be playing the game. She credits the warm welcome and and inclusive culture put forth by people like Marie LaVictoire and Kathryn Hogg for getting her hooked on footy. She quickly became a regular on the back line and in March of 2013 she also took on a leadership role to help the women's team keep on track. In order to support her footy habit, Jess is employed in the printed electronics business where she is an Office and ISO 2001 compliance manager.

Jess joined the Freedom staff in 2013 and served as team and logistics manager for all training camps, International Cups, Liberty tour, and 49th Parallel Cup since then.
