Australian Duo to Perform at Nationals

Australian Duo to Perform at Nationals in Milwaukee

The Milwaukee Bombers are pleased to announce that the Australian Duo of Pru Clearwater and Tom Mason will be performing live during The Accenture National Championships Banquet ... Wisconsin Tailgate Style.  Pru Clearwater and Tom Mason are "totally stoked" to be appearing at the 2005 USAFL National Championship function and have been brushing up on their favorite "Chisel" and "Crawl" covers.  They will be encouraging much audience participation, particularly any lyrics Pru may have forgotten in her long absence from home... any tricky requests should be made known well ahead of the gig and be able to be performed with 2 acoustic guitars...(i.e. They will try their best Acca Dacca but no guarantees...).

The Accenture National Championships Banquet ... Wisconsin Tailgate Style will take place on Saturday evening of October 1 at the Milwaukee Marriott West hotel and is a part of the many festivities taking place during the 2005 USAFL National Championships on October 1-2.  Tickets are still available for the Banquet are available for a discounted rate if purchased in advance at: http://www.usfooty.com/usfootystore/detail.aspx?ID=113  Raffle tickets to win a brand new Harley-Davidson or one of several other terrific prizes are also available for purchase for only $5 at: http://www.usfooty.com/usfootystore/Detail.aspx?ID=112  You do not need to be present at the drawing to win!

Here is a sample of reviews about the performers:

Pru Clearwater

"...a package that includes stunning looks, impressive songwriting talent, powerful onstage presentation and a personality that simply radiates sunshine, this young woman has the potential to take the music industry by storm" - Susan Jarvis (Sydney Morning Herald)

"... the sound and look to be a major star" - (Myrtle Beach Sun Times)

With 2 outstanding CD releases - "Lovechild" and "Butterfly"- a slew of award nominations and critical acclaim in her native Australia, Pru brings her melodic guitar-driven pop to the USA. This music kicks with an original blend of Beatles cool, sun-drenched rock and Sheryl Crow artistry - gritty infectious songs with conscience and plenty of attitude. Since moving to the states in 2002, Pru has become a major presence in Nashville's music community. She is currently recording a new solo CD, and is also busy recording and touring with two other exciting projects, jam-pop band The Big Happy and all-girl garage sweeties The Naughty Skoolgirls.

CD Reviews:

BUTTERFLY (2005 release)

..."wraithlike pop with an adult dose of Clearwater's acerbic-and typically Australian-sense of humor" - Paul V Griffith (Nashville Scene)

LOVECHILD (2000 release)

"Pru Clearwater's brilliant debut CD - Lovechild...displays a remarkable skill in words and melody. Many songs have a kick that make you want to dance. Many make you want to cry - every one makes you want to celebrate. 91/2 out of 10" - Deborah Minter (ICE News International)

Live Appearances:

As entertaining in intimate acoustic mode as she is with her full band on a festival stage, Pru brings her versatility to the fore.  A dynamic artist, she has toured the length and breadth of her native Australia, and has played worldwide in Indonesia, Malaysia, Borneo, New Zealand, Germany, France, Japan and Britain (including the Royal Albert Hall). Performances in the USA include Summerfest 2005 (Milwaukee), The Australian Festival (Nashville), showcases at the legendary Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, gigs at venues such as the Exit/In, Mercy Lounge and 12th and Porter,  Fitzgeralds in Chicago, live to air radio appearances  including Nashville Public Radio, Nashville's Lightning 100 FM and  California's KPIG, and on the FOX TV morning show.
