The USAFL is proud to announce ESPN as the official major sponsor of the USA Revolution and USA Freedom National Australian Rules Football teams. During the 2011 AFL International Cup in Australia, the ESPN logo will be displayed prominently on USA Revolution apparel and ESPNW, a new online destination dedicated to serving female athletes and fans, will be included on USA Freedom apparel.

"I am extremely excited about the opportunity that ESPN has given the players. They all work tirelessly to raise funds invididually, and to have someone like ESPN come onboard really helps the players focus more on the footy, rather than just getting there." said Revolution Coach, Matt Bishop.

“ESPN is delighted to support the Revolution and Freedom in the upcoming AFL International Cup” added Gus Seebeck, Commercial Director ESPN Australia/NZ.  “AFL is the most popular sport in Australia and through this partnership we’re able to not only help the US teams achieve success but also spread the message of AFL and ESPN to more fans.”

ESPN Australia is part of ESPN International, a division of ESPN, Inc., which has grown to include ownership — in whole or in part — of 46 television networks outside of the United States, as well as a variety of additional businesses that allow ESPN to reach sports fans in over 200 countries and territories across all seven continents.
