It can be dangerous wearing a Bomber's shirt..

Why this Bomber was grounded
Essendon may see no reason to change its nickname from the Bombers in the wake of the latest terrorist attacks in London (as we reported yesterday) but that doesn't mean everyone, especially those overseas, share their viewpoint.


We say that in the wake of this incredible incident that took place in America recently when the Bomber logo got a traveller into big strife in New York.

Good luck to our Revolution Players!

All the hard work, training and planning is reaching a climax as our Revolution players prepare to fly out to the International Cup in Melbourne on Thursday, July 28.


Good luck to you all as you embark on this exciting adventure - we know you will do yourselves proud as you strive to 'Bring the Cup Home'.  Many thanks too, to our Revolution Coach, Alan Nugent and Team Manager, Greg Narleski for all their hard work in preparing for this event.

Baton Rouge Hit the Headlines

Clinic held on game 'footy' BR Tigers promotes awareness of Aussie-rules football

Members of the Baton Rouge Tigers held a free Australian-rules football clinic Saturday at BREC's Burbank Soccer Complex to promote public awareness of the fast-paced sport. Players provided instruction and hands-on training to attendees in an effort to inform the community about the game.

2005 National Collegiate Invitational

Nashville, TN - Vandy Aussie Rules Club, in conjunction with the USAFL and the Australian Festival are pleased to announce that Belmont University Sports Administration masters student, Adam Bishop, will direct the 2005 2nd Annual National Collegiate Invitational. The event, which will be held in Nashville’s picturesque Centennial Park on September 10 and 11, will see 4 college teams battle it out for the coveted title of Collegiate Aussie Rules National Champion.

2005 International Cup Draw & Schedule

 


The 2005 Australian Football International Cup Draw & Schedule…
The Australian Football League has confirmed the draw for the 2005 Australian Football International Cup. The grounds and timetable for matches has also been released. As reported earlier, the grand final is to be played at the MCG, and the series also includes a round of matches at a country venue, Wangaratta, about 235 km northeast of Melbourne, Australia. Hopefully with such a unique event and some local promotion, a big crowd will turn out for the regional matches.

James climbs the Sydney Harbour Bridge....

The wind whistled past my head as I stared through the night at the breathtaking view before me. There was the Opera House, bathed in golden light. Farther to the right stood the Centrepoint Tower, the Allianz building and the rest of the Sydney skyline. In the darkness I shifted my view to the water below me. A ferry was passing under the bridge. Standing 440 feet above the ferry at the top of the arch of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, it looked to me like a model ship.

Footy Action comes to the Triangle

There is quite a buzz around the footy fans of the Triangle area (Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill) as
the North Carolina Tigers will be playing host to last year's Division I Runners-up, the New York
Magpies, on Saturday June 25th.  This is the first EAFL home game for the Tigers.  A high level of
