Revos to Host Three Summer Camps

It’s every athlete’s dream to represent their country at their sport’s highest level.

A great number of hopefuls have put their hand up for spots on the USA Revolution national team ahead of the AFL International Cup next year in Melbourne.  Coach Tom Ellis and his staff have the task of whittling down that group down to form the team that will go in search of the world footballing title.

Though it has been an ongoing process since Ellis took the helm as Revos coach last June, the first training was held in Los Angeles back in March.   Two weeks ago, the Revos took on the Texas All-Stars in Austin.

Now, three more tryout camps have been announced, which will include drills, info sessions, and exhibition matches.

June 17-19 – Chicago, Illinois (hosted by the Chicago Swans)

July 22-24 – St. Petersburg, Florida (hosted by Tampa Bay ARFC)

August 5-7 – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (hosted by the Philadelphia Hawks)

There will also be mini-camps on the Sunday morning following each of the three regional tournaments:

June 12 – Indianapolis, Indiana (Central Regionals)

June 26 – New York, New York (Eastern Regionals)

July 17 – Salem, Oregon (Western Regionals)

All three regionals will also include Kick Builders sessions for coaches, to be hosted by coach Ellis.
