A Letter from the President to all former USAFL Players

Dear Former USAFL Player,

The 2014 AFL International Cup (IC14) is less than 14 days away. As you know, our players and staff are all volunteers and must fund their own trips to represent the USAFL at IC14, where it is estimated each member will spend a minimum of $4,000.

At 17 years of age, the USAFL is now old enough to establish a vibrant and functional Alumni. To kick off our Alumni drive, the USAFL is offering exclusive admission to the VIP section of the 2014 USAFL Nationals in Dublin, Ohio for any donations of $50 or more. Participants will be treated to free Coopers products on both the Saturday and Sunday at Nationals.

To help ease the financial burden of the Revolution, Freedom & Liberty teams (yes, the USAFL will have two teams entered in the Women's IC14), please visit our Donation page, select the program you would like to support and enter "Alumni" in the notes section upon checkout. 100% of your donation will go towards your chosen program.

As a 501 (c)(3) non profit organization, your donation is tax deductible. Please note, however, that should you choose to attend the VIP section at Nationals your donation will not qualify as tax deductible. The VIP section will also only be open to bona fide Alumni, meaning you will not be able to play for your club during the weekend (but will be allowed and encouraged to play in the Masters vs Legends game).

It is our stated goal that, going forward, the USAFL will provide great value to our Alumni and make it both an enjoyable and worthwhile association. Provided there is enough interest, we would like to offer a golf day on the Friday before Nationals and participation at the Saturday night Executive Dinner. Please reply if you are interested in more information regarding either of these two events.

Finally, if you don’t qualify to be part of the alumni yet and would like to help our Revolution, Freedom and Liberty teams in their respective IC14 campaigns, please feel free to donate here.

Regards,

Denis Ryan

USAFL President
